"Angry" Savannah Chrisley Vows to "Forever Fight" For Mom Julie Chrisley Amid Prison Sentence

This Mother's Day was a difficult one for Savannah Chrisley.
The Chrisley Knows Best alum recently reflected on marking the occasion for the first time amid her mom Julie Chrisley and father Todd Chrisley's prison sentences.
Taking to Instagram May 14, Savannah shared a photo montage of her mom and family from over the years set to Kacey Musgraves' song "Mother." (Todd has two children, Lindsie Chrisley and Kyle Chrisley, from a previous marriage, and he and Julie share kids Savannah, Chase Chrisley, Grayson Chrisley and Kyle's daughter Chloe Chrisley, the latter of whom they adopted in 2016).
"Mothers Day—this one hit hard!" Savannah captioned the post. "I've been DREADING the holidays. First it was Easter, then Dads Birthday, now Mothers Day, and on the 16th it will be Grays 17th birthday. A lot of firsts happening…and frankly…I HATE IT! I'm angry! I hold it all in pretty well…I've mastered the art of compartmentalizing. I may be 25… but I miss my mama so bad my heart hurts."
She then went on to praise her mother.
"For those that have misconceptions of who JULIE CHRISLEY is… let me help you," the reality star continued. "SHE IS an OUTSTANDING mother, SHE IS and even more AMAZING wife, SHE IS an even better daughter, SHE IS one hell of a friend, SHE IS a woman of God, SHE IS a breast cancer survivor, SHE IS a mother to more than just the children she birthed, SHE IS loyal, SHE IS fierce, SHE IS… EVERYTHING that I hope to be."
Savannah wasn't the only one of the Chrisley kids to share a Mother's Day tribute. "Happy Mothers Day my angel!" Chase wrote on Instagram alongside a throwback photo of him and his mom from his childhood days. "I love you!"
Todd and Julie were sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison respectively in November after being convicted of bank and tax fraud offenses earlier that year. The couple—who began their sentences in January—had pleaded not guilty to all charges, and their attorney Bruce Morris told E! News at the time of their conviction that "an appeal is planned."
And Savannah isn't giving up hope. "I miss you mama," she wrote in her Mother's Day Instagram post. "I will forever fight for you."
The Growing Up Chrisley star also shut down any speculation that questioned the state of Todd and Julie's marriage.
"And to clear up NASTY rumors from people who would love nothing more than to see my family torn apart," she added, "my parents are MADLY in love with each other and will come out of this trial even stronger and more in love than before."
Savannah previously opened up about the grief she feels around the holidays amid her parents' prison sentences, including in an April Instagram post ahead of Easter and her dad's birthday.
"When you lose someone special, your world lacks its celebratory qualities," she wrote. "Holidays magnify that loss. The sadness deepens and the loneliness can feel isolating. What I have learned is the need for support may be the greatest during the holidays. Pretending you don't hurt and/or it isn't a harder time of the year is just not the truth for you. But you can – and will–get through the holidays."
She added, "Rather than avoiding the feelings of grief, lean into them. It is not the grief you want to avoid, it is the pain. No one can take that pain away, but grief is not just pain, grief is love. I LOVE YOU MAMA AND DADDY!"
