NBA Game 7 schedule today: Everything to know about Sunday's elimination playoff games
View Date:2024-12-23 11:28:59
Two NBA playoffs games Sunday, two Game 7s in the Eastern and Western conference semifinals.
Indiana at New York first at 3:30 p.m. ET followed by Minnesota at Denver at 8 p.m. ET.
A spot in the conference finals is at stake.
The Pacers forced a Game 7 with a dominating home victory in Game 6, and the Timberwolves did the same with a blowout victory at home in Game 6.
The Celtics await the winner of Pacers-Knicks in the East finals, which begins Tuesday, and the winner of Timberwolves-Nuggets will face Dallas in the West finals, which begins Wednesday.
Here’s what you what you need to know about Sunday’s Game 7s:
How to watch the Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks
The Pacers-Knicks game is on ABC and available via streaming on espn.com and ESPN’s app. Mike Breen, JJ Redick and Doris Burke will have the call with Lisa Salters handling sideline reporting.
How to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets
The Timberwolves-Nuggets game is on TNT and available via streaming on tntdrama.com and TNT’s app. Ian Eagle and Grant Hill will have the call with Jared Greenberg reporting from the sideline.
Previewing Pacers-Knicks
The home team has won every game in this series, but will that trend continue? The Knicks are beat up. Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson and Bojan Bogdanovic are out, and OG Anunoby has missed the past four games with a strained left hamstring. He is questionable for Game 7. Another concern: Josh Hart. He is listed as questionable with a strained abdominal muscle and was in significant discomfort in Friday’s loss. The Knicks have not been to the conference finals since 2000.
The Pacers’ high-octane offense, led by All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, needs its best road performance of the series to get the franchise back to the conference finals for the first time since 2014.
Previewing Timberwolves-Nuggets
This has been an unusual series featuring a three-time MVP (Denver’s Nikola Jokic) and MVP candidate (Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards). The Timberwolves won the first two games in Denver, then the Nuggets won the next three games and Minnesota won the sixth. There hasn’t been rhyme or reason to the results – just two have been decided by eight points or fewer.
The Nuggets are the defending champions and one of the best executing teams in the league. The Timberwolves were built to limit Jokic and Murray. Do they have it in them to take Game 7 in the Mile High altitude?
Pacers-Knicks prediction
This all depends on who is available for the Knicks, but if they have Hart and Anunoby, it’s the Knicks.
Knicks 115, Pacers 111
Timberwolves-Nuggets prediction
Beating the champions on their home court and for the third time in the series? Tough ask for the Timberwolves.
Nuggets 120, Timberwolves 106
