View Date:2025-01-09 08:23:24
Lenny Kravitz is readying the Friday release of his 12th studio album, "Blue Electric Light," prepping for his – yes – 60th birthday two days later and announcing an extended run of shows in Las Vegas this fall.
Blue Electric Light Las Vegas will debut at Dolby Live at Park MGM Oct. 18-19, 23 and 25-26. Tickets will go on sale at 1 p.m. ET Friday via ticketmaster.com.
Various presales will also be available, including for Citi cardmembers (1 p.m. ET Tuesday through 1 a.m. ET Friday) at citientertainment.com; Kravitz's fan club beginning at 1 p.m. ET Wednesday; and members of MGM Rewards, SiriusXM subscribers and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers starting at 1 p.m. ET Thursday.
The shows mark Kravtiz's first extended engagement in Las Vegas, which he last played in September at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Lenny Kravitz is inspired by the Sphere in Las Vegas
During a recent interview with USA TODAY, Kravitz talked about seeing U2 open the newest marvel in the city, the Sphere, and how the dynamics of the show influenced him.
"Any time I see some thing, I see art and I learn something," Kravitz said. "You learn what you want to do, what you don't want to do. It gives you ideas and shows you that it’s all the same equipment available; it's a matter of what you do with it."
Preceding the arrival of his "Blue Electric Light" album, Kravitz has dropped two singles from the release, the rollicking "TK421" and its sexy-fun video and the funky "Human."
The album was initially planned for March, but Kravitz bumped it to May after spending the latter part of 2023 working on the song "Road to Freedom" for Netflix’s "Rustin" film about activist Bayard Rustin.
"I have no problem coming second and doing what I needed to do for the legacy of Mr. Rustin," Kravitz said.

Lenny Kravitz on turning 60: 'Never been better'
The rocker, who made headlines for his unusual practice of exercising in leather pants and continues to turn heads with his age-defying physique, credits a combination of good genes – his grandfather, Albert Roker, was riding a bike five hours a day well into his 80s – and simple dedication.
"I work out five or six days a week," Kravitz said. "I'm very serious about my training, about what I put in my body … If you asked me today when were you in the best shape of your life? It's today, right now. Mentally, physically and spiritually, I've never been better."
