Ryan Anderson has plenty of prospects following his split from Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
Indeed, the 37-year-old revealed that his direct messages are quite full after his wife of nearly two years announced in April they were ending their marriage.
"I definitely have a lot," he exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker of what his direct messages currently look like. "It's mostly women. It's weird to process. It's nice to see. It does boost your ego."
However, Ryan, who has been open about feeling "blindsided" by Gypsy—who has since rekindled her relationship with ex-fiancé Ken Urker— the 32-year-old filing for divorce, noted he's not looking for love any time soon.
"I just wanted the attention of one woman originally," he added, referring to Gypsy, whom he met after writing her a letter while she was serving time in prison for her role in the murder of her mom Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard. "To get all this other attention. It's different."
Aside from potential romance, Ryan noted that he appreciates those who are just offering their comfort.
"I still get a lot of support," he explained. "It's 98 percent positive compared to two percent negative. It's amazing to see the love and support I get just being myself. I'm just a genuine person. I fell in love with Gypsy."
For the time being, the middle school special education teacher is focusing on processing what went wrong in his relationship with Gypsy, 32, some of which he has seen play out in real time on Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup, which airs Mondays at 9 on Lifetime.
"I didn't realize the filming would impact us as much as it was," he shared of the series. "I think outside influences got involved—but I'm still processing."
In addition to cameras and the duo's own inner circle, he expressed that the level of fame was a lot for the couple.
"It's not the situation it was from pre-release to post-release," Ryan—who married Gypsy in July 2022—noted. "Before Gypsy got out of prison, I was worried about her emotional ability with the filming and press. Did I expect it to get nine million followers overnight? No, I didn't expect that."
And while Gypsy has found love again with her former flame, Ryan is taking more time to heal.
"I'm in process/reflection mode," he added. "It's only been two months since she's gone. She might've moved on quickly from what it seems, but I'm still processing. I married her wanting the forever."
Ryan and Gypsy may have not gotten their happily ever after, but their relationship still had a lot of sweet moments. Keep reading to see the duo's full love story and catch Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up Mondays at 9/8c on Lifetime for an inside look at her new chapter.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard married Ryan Anderson in 2022 while serving her time in a Missouri prison for the second-degree murder of her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard.
The pair met when Ryan, a special education teacher from Louisiana, decided to write a letter to Gypsy in prison in 2020. By May of that year, they had begun emailing back and forth.
"We've been able to build this emotional bond that within two seconds of talking on the phone, he knows my emotions," Gypsy previously told People. "And he'll be like, 'Are you OK? Do you want to talk about it?' So I'm thankful that I have a man that is open enough with his own emotions so I could let my emotions flow."
Ryan unveiled the "first picture of me that I sent to my wife" while she was behind bars. As he put it, "clearly she was smitten, haha."
Gypsy showed off the gold wedding ring from Ryan after she got out of prison, writing on Instagram, "Finally get to wear my beautiful wedding ring."
Gypsy captioned this moment on social media, "New Years Eve kiss with my hubby."
Gypsy defended Ryan from critics on social media following her release. "Ryan, don’t listen to the haters," she wrote on Instagram in January 2024. "I love you, and you love me. We do not owe anyone anything. Our family is who matters. If you get likes and good comments great, if you get hate then whatever because THEY DON’T MATTER. I love you.
She added, "besides they jealous because you are rocking my world every night…yeah I said it, the D is fire happy wife happy life."
